How we use partner data

Under agreement, for a purpose

Fire records shared by a partner are used under a written data agreement, only to build, test and improve the models that partner uses.

• Records are stored in Australia and access is limited to the people training the model.
• We never publish a partner’s raw records. Results we publish are aggregate, and only with the partner’s approval.
• A partner can ask us to delete their records at the end of an agreement.

Open data

Where we use public datasets, we follow their licences and credit them on the pages that use them.
